Hi. I’m Anna. I make pictures & films for the kind of love that doesn’t need to perform itself.
Rio-born, Dublin-based, queer, and quietly obsessed with the soft hours of a wedding day — the half-light before the ceremony, the long look between speeches, the dance floor at 1am when no one’s watching.
Anna Mello Studios is a small studio for couples who want their day documented like it deserves to be. Editorial in the eye, honest in the heart. I work close to the moment, love a slow look, and tend to find the picture in the half-second right before everyone notices.
I shoot mostly across Ireland and travel happily for elopements and destination weddings. I bring a second shooter or a video partner when the day calls for both.
Outside weddings: editorial portraits, queer love stories, documentary projects. The same eye, different rooms. I believe a good wedding picture is half-memory, half-evidence — and I’m here for both.

I asked the same questions to three couples — Nai & Hanna (a sapphic couple), May & Theo (a trans man and a poly woman), Amanda & Hudson (a hetero couple) — and let them answer one at a time. It came out closer to who I am as a filmmaker than anything else I've made.
Big estate wedding. Registry civil ceremony. Just-the-pub-after-party. All the same to me — every wedding is the right size. I shoot the day you’re actually having, not the one a magazine told you to have.
Cinematic films designed to be watched more than once. On your anniversary. On a Tuesday. A short film for sharing (1–2 min, Reels-friendly), a long film for keeping (10–20 min), or both. Some clients book me for film only — that’s welcome too.
A relaxed couple shoot before the day, an engagement portrait session, an anniversary set — or a surprise proposal where I show up invisible and leave you with the moment. If not now, when?

I'd known Anna's work for two years already. The first chance I got — when Batu and I decided to get married — I thought: the photographer has to be Anna. She was always extremely flexible and attentive. Anyone who's been a bride knows how many emotions there are on the day — so much to think about, even when it's not a traditional ceremony.
